"Michael's Theory of Movement"
Golf Swing Development Theology
Def.
Movement (Motion, Move, Action)
An act of changing physical location or position or placement or of having this changed.
I.e.. "A slight movement of the upper Body"
*Golf Club
Def.
A golf club is a long, thin metal stick with a piece of wood or metal at one end that you use to move the ball in golf.
A golf club is used to move through the position of the golf ball to move it in the game of golf. It has a long shaft with a grip on one end and a weighted head on the other end. The head is affixed sideways at a sharp angle to the shaft, and the striking face of the head is inclined to give the ball a certain amount of upward trajectory.
*Mass and Matter
(The body in supporting motion and angle)
Transforming or fusing the mass of the golf club by sequencing body movement aides in creating good compression, consistent impact, distance, and accuracy.
*Impact/Compression
(Force - Strength or energy as an attribute of physical actions or movement.)
Newton's third law of motion states that for every action (force) in nature, there is an equal and opposite reaction. If object A exerts a force on object B, object B also exerts an equal and opposite force on object A. In other words, forces result from interactions. The golf club/face exerts a force on the golf ball, the golf ball exerts and equal and opposite force on the golf club/face, resulting in action or movement of the golf ball.
*Direction
Newton's First Law of Motion (Inertia) states that, an object at rest remains at rest, and an object in motion remains in motion at constant speed and in a straight line unless acted on by an unbalanced force.
The degree to which one maintains the angle and direction of the club face through the impact area dictates the direction of the golf ball in motion. One must trust in and understand the role of the fingers, hands, wrist, arms, shoulders, chest, hips.. in the movement of the golf club.
*Compression/Distance
The larger the mass of a moving object, the less readily it moves. According to Newton's second law of motion, the acceleration that the object experiences is inversely proportional to its mass, and you can calculate this acceleration from the object's change in speed over a set amount of time.
The body mass (weight shift, balance, grip, tention...) in motion must be assimilated by the mass of the golf club in motion. The appropriate timing and acceleration of the union of said mass through the ball or matter translates to distance.
The bodies (fingers, hands, wrist, elbows, arms...) role is to support the angled or set movement of the golf club.
The body in supporting the motion of the golf club turns to the back swing position and returns to the impact area, and continues through to the follow through position and then into the appropriate finish position with the appropriate change in speed will produce distance.
The knowledge and discipline of body movements supporting the movement of the golf club into and through the impact area creates consistent, predictable, and reliable results. Repetition of the principles of this theory is key to building and maintaining your golf swing and improving scoring opportunities in the game of golf.
